NOTICE OF ACCLAMATION

Notice is hereby given that the number of candidates nominated for the office of Head of Council (Reeve) does not exceed the number of positions to be filled.  Pursuant to subsection 48(1) of The Municipal Councils and School Boards Elections Act, the following candidate is elected by acclamation to the office of Head of Council (Reeve):

VOTING PLACES

Wednesday October 28th, 2026 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm
Deloraine/Winchester Community Hall - 119 Lake St. N., Deloraine, Manitoba

 IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.  A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example – driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

ADVANCE VOTING 

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be on:

Wednesday, October 21st, 2026 between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Municipality of Deloraine-Winchester Office - 129 Broadway St. N.

MOBILE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care facility, a mobile voting station will be set up on:

Tuesday, October 21st, 2026 between 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Delwynda Court PCH - 109 Kellett St. S.

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE 

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by email to the senior election official at the Municipality of Deloraine-Winchester office at 129 Broadway St. N., Deloraine, MB, R0M 0M0, or by clicking the following link.

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

If applying in person*, a voter may apply between October 1^st and October 25^th, 2026.
* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application. 

If applying by mail or email**, a voter may apply between July 30^th and October 25^th, 2026.
** A voter applying by mail or email will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
